Disconnections do not always have to lead to confrontation.

When people start to change on you in non verbal ways, it’s still very much noticeable. Because what is NOT said is shown in their actions and how they treat you.

Oftentimes we want to “match energy” in these type of situations. But why fight petty with petty? Why echo and internalize someone else’s negative view OR changed behavior towards you?

I have gone through so many seasons of this, and I have learned NOT to change my energy downward to match some else’s energy. It’s draining and only leads to drama! I’m learning to just smile and be cordial and sometimes professional even. It does not mean that I’m being fake but only I’m doing my own personal work to operate from a place of maturity in order to keep the peace.

Disconnections does not always have to lead to confrontation.
